1. Don't know about the front end but you could measure the steering shaft on both bikes then the steering head then find bearing that will fit or make spacer that will work
2.smoothing the welds is fine but alot of time. don't grind the welds too much,stay out of the pipe metal if possible, just enought to bondo them smoother.
3.buy the biggest bags you like and tie them on1
4.Yahoo has free photo posting check into it I would like to see another chopped savge!And don't worry about the tail light we're all adults(I think)
5.I hear por 15 makes a transluesent paint for chrome and polished aluminum, looks good too!
